Accreditations, Certifications & Education:

Jennifer Hill
Certified Yoga Instructor

Jennifer Hill, former owner/director of Little Buddha Family Yoga Center, has been teaching yoga to children for over 10 years. Jennifer believes that children are natural yoginis-they live in the moment. Children use their natural energy as they explore body awareness and mindfulness. They develop strong and flexible bodies which helps to build a positive self-esteem. Yoga helps children acquire much needed tools for stress management and anxiety, all too prevalent in our society. Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching N-6 and has trained extensively with many nationally recognized yoga instructors. She teaches children of all ages and needs in class settings as well as privately. Jennifer owes much gratitude to Nevine Michaan, founder of Katonah Yoga, for setting her on her yoga path.

Kate Graham
Certified Yoga Instructor

Kate has been teaching for over 20 years and managed her own yoga studio for 15 years. She is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and has studied with many senior and renowned instructors. The gift of yoga has brought a place of emotional balance and physical strength to her life. She is infinitely grateful to her teachers and to the boundless science of yoga for bringing a calm and steady place to “be”. Kate teaches with clarity of instruction, precision in alignment, and sensitivity to each student.

Kate’s own struggle and recovery from significant sciatica, three episodes of Lyme disease and anxiety difficulties have taught her the importance of working with the whole individual. She teaches privately and in groups with students of various levels and abilities including athletic individuals, seniors, and those with more specialized needs (including physical limitations and disorders, spectrum disorders, and mental/emotional struggles). She strives to find that delicate balance which will take her students to the edge, but never beyond. It is the discriminating intelligence and alignment learned through the practice of Iyengar yoga that allows us to deepen our understanding and embrace inner peace. Kate has taught workshops in public and private schools and senior living facilities, and has also led yoga retreats to Costa Rica and Morocco.

Elin Watersoon
Certified Yoga Instructor

Elin started Ballet lessons at age three and has been dancing ever since. She went on to study many other styles of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Theater Dance, Highland Dance, Latin, Ballroom, Pole Dance and Bellydance. In 2008 Elin began practicing yoga and it became an important complement to her dancing – each discipline improving the other. This led her to become a 200HR RYT Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. Elin’s practice is built on an understanding of anatomy and alignment and seeks to create space, both in the body and the mind. Intrigued by the concept of combining elements of dance, yoga and aerial arts, she decided to try aerial fitness. Her feet left the ground and it was love at first flight! Elin enjoys the feeling of freedom and joyfulness that aerial yoga provides and is happy to share her love of being upside down. Elin is also an Om Factory Certified Aerial Yoga Instructor, Fly Gym Aerial Fitness® Instructor / Master Trainer, Climb&Spin® Pole Dance Instructor and Ballroom Dance Instructor.

Laura Himmelstein
Healing Touch Energy Sessions

We are all ultimately powerful beings, made up of mind, body and spirit, but we are more complete when we find and understand our connection to others and to the universe. Laura’s found her way to this philosophy through her journey of life experiences. She is a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner Apprentice and has been practicing Healing Touch for over four years. She is also a licensed social worker specializing with families who are impacted by complex or life limiting illness. Laura is a Certified Thought Field Therapy© Practitioner as well. Thought Field Therapy© is the “grandfather” of EFT and Laura is also trained in EFT. She is also a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. Laura incorporates her trainings in yoga, martial arts, and Buddhist and Mindfulness meditation within her healing practice. She is also a 4th degree black belt and spent many years teaching karate to physically challenged people and children with special needs. One of her favorite family activities is their time spent each year volunteering at Camp Sunshine, a camp for families with children impacted by life threatening illnesses. Laura finds joy and peace in providing energy work to others and is deeply grateful to be on this journey. She is a proponent of advocating for your own well being by gathering facts and using your critical thinking to integrate both conventional and complementary modalities. When this is achieved, you can find your sense of self, your connection to the universe and your healing and grounding center.

Linda Cohen
Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Master and Energy Healer

Linda Cohen is a shamanic practitioner. She received her training at the Four Winds Society in the Healing the Light Body School founded by Alberto Villoldo, a medical anthropologist and psychologist. The school has its origins in the healing practices of the shamans of the Andes and the Amazon. The core healing practice of the school is the teachings of the “light body” also known as the luminous energy field (LEF). The LEF is an information field that surrounds the physical body and contains records or imprints of all physical, emotional and spiritual traumas. It is a blueprint that determines how you will heal, live and might die. The shamans discovered that by accessing the LEF and erasing its imprints of disease, we can bring about healing, transformation and wholeness.

During Linda’s training and in a separate class, she received a series of initiations known as the Munay Ki rites. Through these rites, she became connected to a lineage of medicine men and women (Earth Keepers) who lead and have led extraordinary lives. The rites clear the chakras and upgrade the energy field. It would be Linda’s pleasure to share these rites with you. She continues to take classes with the Four Winds Society to gain further insight and knowledge into the healing practices of the LEF, and to share this knowledge with her family and her community.

Linda is also a Reiki master. She received her mastership in 2000. Reiki has always been a part of her healing practice and continues to be a part of it. She, also, belongs to a healing group that meets regularly to explore, to practice and to experience healing and its techniques.

She incorporates and blends her Reiki background and Shamanic training to offer sessions that provide healing, transformation and balance.
