Class Descriptions

Spinal Fluidity Movement:

Lengthen, release and awaken the natural wave movement in your spine with core awareness, breath, and gentle movement. This class is perfect for anyone who would like to release tension, increase the fluidity in their spine and tone their core. This is not a yoga or a dance class but will enhance your overall posture, movement and wellness tremendously. Open to all ages and levels. No yoga experience necessary.

Alignment

Standing and seated poses, twists, forward bends, and backbends. The use of props including blankets, yoga blocks, and bolsters support you in the poses and gives individualized modifications for those with injuries or limitations. Alignment based movement focusing on stability. This class is suitable for beginners with some familiarity of the asanas and those who wanted to deepen their practice with alignment based information.

Open Level General

This asana-based class is open to all levels of experience. Start your day or end your weekend with this feel good body and breath opener. This class with be a great balance of alignment and flow. Modifications are always shown.

Yin Yoga

This class is suitable for all ages and all levels.
Yin Yoga focuses on making real and significant changes in the deep levels of fascia (connective tissue) which will insure the health of the joints, balance the muscular system, and improve flexibility.
In this class you hold each posture for five minutes as the teacher assists each students needs with the use of props. You leave feeling more balanced, elongated, and comfortable in your body.
Beginners are welcome!

Gentle Iyengar Yoga

This class combines a gentle, slower paced yoga with guided meditation techniques. Participants will learn to build strength, flexibility and exercise breathing techniques. Modifications and props are used as needed.

Gentle Iyengar

Classes moves at a quicker pace than the Gentle Iyengar. Class and will vary depending on the population of the particular class. This is an alignment based class and is designed so that most students and abilities can be accommodated. Each class is designed with an intentional progressive sequence which builds in difficulty and variation one class after another.

Gentle Yoga and Guided Meditation

Head to Toe Yoga Stretches

Beginning with the top of the head and systematically working down the body through the neck, shoulders, back, hips and legs. This head-to-toe routine will increase circulation, flexibility and range of motion as well as relieve stress from tense muscles. You will leave feeling fantastic- inside and out!

Beginner Yogi PM:

This class is specifically designed for those with little or no prior experience in yoga. Whether you want to further your practice as a beginning yogi, have specific physical limitations or need more information on how to keep yourself free from injury this small group setting is perfect for you. The goal of this class is to give you the attention and information you need, so that you can move forward in a larger group setting feeling stronger and more confident in your body. Workshop Series is $109.00 for 4 sessions. This workshop is a rolling admission. Start when you want! It is a four week series which you will have 8 weeks to complete it.

Meditation Series:

The purpose of this series is to practice the art of being present. It will be an awareness based-meditation. We will have short discussions on the characteristics of the ego-mind and intervals of practice. Benefits of this type of practice include a sense of clarity, groundedness, and focus.
This practice is suitable for beginners and experienced students. Come practice together with the opportunity to discuss questions and concerns.
